The Apexcoupling CPKCA/KCD series is a high-precision detachable universal joint coupling engineered for reliable power transmission in applications where shafts are not aligned and easy maintenance is critical. Available in single joint (CPKCA/KC type) and double joint (CPKCW/KCD type) configurations, this coupling allows two shafts with an axis angle to achieve continuous rotation and reliably transmit torque and motion. The detachable structure enables quick disassembly and maintenance without disconnecting the entire drive train, significantly reducing downtime.

 

Manufactured from 42CrMo alloy steel with H7 precision bore and black oxide surface treatment, the CPKCA/KCD series delivers high strength, exceptional wear resistance, and long service life.   • Use CPKCA (single joint) for applications where shafts are on the same plane but angled – constant-angle, uniform-load applications.

  • Use CPKCW (double joint) for applications where shafts are both angled and offset – provides smoother motion and compensates for both angular and parallel misalignment.

Product Structure – Detachable Ball-and-Socket Design

  1. Two Yokes (Forks) – Precision-machined from 42CrMo alloy steel with H7 bores.

  2. Ball-and-Socket Joint – The defining feature of the CPKCA series; a detachable ball-and-socket design that allows for quick disassembly and maintenance.

  3. High-Strength Pins – Crafted from bearing steel with high, uniform hardness.

  4. Single Joint (CPKCA) – One pivot point for angular flexibility.

  5. Double Joint (CPKCW) – Two pivot points for angular + offset flexibility.

💡 How it works: The CPKCA/CPKCW coupling consists of two yokes connected by a ball-and-socket joint. The detachable structure allows the joint to be disassembled quickly without removing the entire coupling from the shafts – significantly reducing maintenance downtime. The ball-and-socket design provides smooth, continuous rotation even when the two shafts are at an angle. The angle between the two shafts is allowed to change within a limited range (up to 45° per joint) according to working needs.
