Design & Operating Principle
The Z2 locking assembly consists of:
One split double-taper inner ring
One split double-taper outer ring
Two double-taper clamping rings
High-strength socket head cap screws
How it works:
When the screws are tightened, the tapered surfaces generate radial clamping force between the shaft and hub. The self-centering design ensures high concentricity without axial movement. The friction-based connection transmits torque without keys or keyways.
