Product Structure – Double Taper Short-Type Keyless Locking

  1. Inner Tapered Ring – S45C forged steel, precision-machined with H7 bore, fits over the shaft.

  2. Outer Tapered Ring – S45C forged steel, double taper design provides high clamping force.

  3. Locking Screws – 12.9 grade high-strength screws (M6×35 or M8×45 depending on size).

  4. Removal Thread Holes – Pre-drilled holes for easy disassembly.

💡 How it works: The MLAT/AL-F shrink disc uses a double taper short-type design to create a friction-lock connection between shaft and hub. When the 12.9 grade locking screws are tightened to the specified torque, the inner and outer tapered rings are forced together, generating high radial pressure that locks the hub securely onto the shaft. This creates a zero-backlash, keyless connection that transmits torque and axial forces through friction. The double taper design provides higher torque capacity in a shorter axial length compared to single taper designs. In the event of overload, the assembly slips to protect connected equipment. The removal thread holes allow for easy disassembly without special tools.
