Design & Operating Principle
The WD universal joint shaft consists of:
Forged steel yokes (fork ends)
Cross trunnion (cross shaft) with needle or sliding bearings
Flange mounting for connection to driven/driving equipment
How it works:
The cross trunnion allows the shaft to transmit torque while operating at an angle. Each joint accommodates angular misalignment, and multiple joints can be combined for larger angles or offset shafts. The flange yoke provides a rigid, bolted connection for high-torque applications.
