XL Type Star Elastic Coupling Specifications and Dimensions 3 flexible coupling
Common Structures of Star Couplings
Standard XL type, flanged star couplings XLS and XLD types, types with brake discs (XLP), and types with brake wheels (XLZ). Other variants, such as those with intermediate sleeves, have been less frequently purchased in recent years.
Â
XL type couplings are suitable for connecting two coaxial transmission shaft systems. They provide compensation for relative shaft misalignment, cushioning, vibration damping, and wear resistance. They are widely applicable and operate within a temperature range of -35°C to 80°C.
Â
The elastic element is constrained by convex claw blocks, which prevents internal deformation caused by impact and external deformation due to centrifugal force. The large concave surface of the convex claws results in very low surface pressure on the involute teeth. Even when subjected to overload, the teeth do not wear or deform.
