The AL-S and MLAP Series Double Taper Locking Assemblies (commonly referenced as Z2 style connections) represent a premier keyless friction-joint mechanism designed for heavy duty power transmission. Composed of an open double-tapered inner ring, an open double-tapered outer ring, and two matching thrust collars, this assembly utilizes high-strength socket head cap screws to deliver a tight, backlash-free connection. Ideal for packaging, printing, and textile machinery, the AL-S series ensures maximum torque conversion without degrading shaft integrity.

No Axial Shift Displacement: During screw tightening, the precise geometry of the double-taper rings prevents any axial movement of the elastic element relative to the shaft hub, maintaining exact component positioning.
Enhanced Radial Grip Pressure: Compared to single-taper alternative structures (such as standard A1 variants), the unique double-taper configuration converts the identical bolt clamping force into significantly higher radial contact pressure, enabling the transmission of much larger torques and axial loads.
Quenched & Tempered 45# Forgings: Built entirely from high-grade 45# steel forgings subjected to advanced thermal conditioning, removing internal defects and voids to maximize operational lifespan and fatigue limits.
Rapid Inter-Changeable Expansion: Installation requires zero hammer hammering or heating—simply tighten the circular bolts uniformly. For swift removal, integrated release jacking screw holes (2 to 4 locations along the circumference) release the friction lock seamlessly.
Expandable Series Linkage: For applications demanding extreme load ratings, multiple AL-S locking assemblies can be cascaded and mounted in series along the drive path.
Complete Stainless Steel Execution: The MLAP series can be entirely fabricated from premium 304 or 316 stainless steel matched with anti-galling hardware for medical, chemical, and food processing lines.
