It is suitable for connecting two coaxial transmission shaft systems, featuring compensation for relative offset between the two shafts, cushioning, vibration damping, and wear resistance.

It is widely applicable in various scenarios. The polyurethane elastic body of the star coupling is constrained by convex claw blocks, which prevents internal deformation caused by impact and external deformation due to centrifugal force.

The torque transmission range is 20–35,000 N·m, and the operating temperature range is -35 to +80°C.

This standard (Standard No.: JB/T 10466-2004) specifies the types, basic parameters, main dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage for LX, LXD, LXS, LXZ, LXP, LXT, LXJ, and LXQ type star elastic couplings.

Star couplings are sometimes mistaken for plum blossom couplings. Their installed appearance is almost similar, but under the same model specifications, star couplings can withstand greater torque.

Compared to plum blossom couplings, their inner bore and overall dimensions can be designed smaller.
